Question: I wish to know if chanting is a kind of meditation?
Sri Chinmoy: Chanting is not, strictly speaking, a form of meditation. It is an invocation. By using a mantra, we can invoke God to enter into our inner existence, our inmost self. In meditation we try in a broader way to enter into God's Infinity, Eternity and Immortality.
