Lord Buddha's philosophy is:
Compassion and forgiveness.

Lord Buddha

"For centuries the light of the Buddha has shone as a beacon beckoning men from across the sea of darkness. Like lost children, millions of seekers have reached out to the light with their heart's inmost cry, and the Buddha has shown them the Way. The world stood before the Buddha with it's ignorance, and the Buddha, the Enlightened One, gave man Truth. The world offered its age old suffering to the Buddha's heart and the Buddha, Lord of Compassion, showed man the Dharma."

From Introduction to: Siddhartha Becomes The Buddha by Sri Chinmoy

"Siddhartha did. He flew from his household life into the state of homelessness. The Supreme did. He placed Lord Buddha in the adoring heart of humanity, in the lap of universal Love. Temptation Siddhartha saw and shunned; austerity He felt and lived; the Middle Path He realised and offered. The Omnipotent did two things through Siddhartha. He revealed the ideal of perfection in a human being. He revealed His Enlightenment and Compassion in a divine being. Lord Buddha cast aside caste. The fallen learned from Him the value of self-respect. The unbending learned from Him the necessity of humility.

True, Buddhism is no longer alive in the land of its birth, but Mother India is abundantly proud of Her spiritual Prince, and She ever cherishes Her world-illumining Teacher. Her fondest feeling is: My Buddha is a rebel Child. My Buddha is a great Contributor. My Buddha is a great Reformer."

The Buddha's Silence Wins

One day the Lord Buddha was meditating. An elderly man came in and started abusing the Buddha most ruthlessly. The Buddha remained absolutely silent.

How long could he continue his abuse? After a while he stopped and was about to leave the place. But the Buddha said, “Just wait, please. I have something to ask you. Tell me, when you offer gifts to a person, if he does not accept your gifts, what do you do?”

“I just take them back.”

The Buddha said, “Well, you have been trying to offer me the gifts that you brought with you. Since I have not accepted your gifts, you are taking them back with you.”

The man felt sad and ashamed of his conduct. He begged forgiveness of the Buddha. The Buddha forgave him, and eventually he became a close disciple of the Buddha.

O BUDDHA!

O Buddha! O Buddha!
Tell me,
Why
Were you so cruel
To Yashodhara, your beautiful wife?
What made you
Escape
From her sleeping net?

"I wanted
To tell the world
That I was totally
Unfulfilled
In my human life.
I escaped from my wife's
Love-Prison
Because
Her larger self, the world,
Needed
My immediate service."

- Sri Chinmoy
