Gratitude is beautiful,Obedience is fruitful.
```You think you can thwart
The Will of God!Just show me if you can end
The whims of your mind. ```If you see God’s Face
But you do not seeThe revelation of His Grace
On His Face,That means you have not seen
God’s real Face. ```The racing motor
Of humanity’s mindIs not going to see
Divinity’s Immortality-Life. ```God created my life for me
Out of Compassion.I have built a cage for myself
Out of attachment. ```He knows how to do
Only one thing.Every day he enlarges
His mind’s imaginary catastrophes. ```When my heart thinks of God,
It sees a reservoirOf Nectar-Delight.
When my mind thinks of God,
It sees nothing but God’sSupreme Indifference.
```If you want to remain
The servant of your desire,God will definitely wait
Until you desire to beHis Infinity’s partner.
```Although the mind-bird
Is always inside the cage,It thinks that it is always
Outside the cageAnd freely flies all-where.
```God will not give you the capacity
To look up to Him,Because you have taught your mind
To look down upon man. ```At last he has freed himself
From his old compelling desire.He will no longer try
To lord it over the world. ```His life’s greatness-achievements
He gave to mankind.His life’s surrender-achievement
He gave to God. ```You must start your life’s journey
As a persistent traveller.Then only God will make you
His enlightened traveller. ```God’s Compassion-Eye
Shows him concern constantly.God’s Forgiveness-Heart
Illumines him daily. ```Activity will show you
Its blazing fire.Inactivity will show you
Its useless ashes. ```His life is playing hide-and-seek
BetweenHis heart’s setting sun
And his mind’s thickening night. ```Others rule your mind
Because you and your heartDo not live inside each other.
```God does not need
A handful of thanks from you.He needs only
A heart-melting cry. ```Simplicity, sincerity and humility —
These are the three purity-guardsOf your heart-temple.
```Because of your two powerful
Determination-armsAnd two aspiration-eyes,
You are bound to be victoriousIn your life’s battlefield.
```Your heart-runner
Will be able to run most speedilyWithout suffering
From doubt-cramps. ```Next door
To your silver heartIs your soul’s
God-manifesting Golden Shore. ```To destroy your mind’s
Confusion-jungle,You have to be always
In the valley of aspirationAnd not relaxation.
```God wants an iota
Of pure love from youTo satisfy Him,
But never, neverYour leftover love!
```If you are playing
The cosmic game,You must expect
Only one thingAs your supreme reward:
Perfection. ```Your past desire-life
Is born again.Therefore, God is hiding
His Satisfaction-FaceOnce more.
```Alas,
Unfounded doubts are governingThe beauty and purity
Of God’s entire creation. ```Again and again you are abusing
Your privileged position.Therefore, you are becoming
Not only a deplorableBut also an unforgettable
Failure. ```You are not meditating
On God the Eternal Time,But you are meditating
On the man-made handsOf a fleeting clock.
```The divine in you touches the Feet
Of God’s Will.The human in you foolishly tries
To bend God’s Will. ```Success wants to solve
Humanity’s problems,But it badly fails.
Progress solves humanity’s problems.Do you know how?
God Himself does itFor progress.
```A non-seeker is he
Who has a futility-heartInside his stupidity-mind.
```If you do not love the world
In spite of its obvious imperfections,God is not going to grant you
His extra-special, precious Love. ```If you can show God
Your uncorrupted heart,Then God will not only show you
But will also give youHis uninterrupted Happiness-Heart.
```Your rich heart begs
At your poor mind’s door.It begs your mind to accept
Its ecstasy-sea. ```You asked for too little.
Something more,You asked too late.
How can you then satisfy God? ```Since you are ruthless
With your imperfections,Your life can never
Be hopeless. ```He has an infinite appetite
For God’s AppreciationWithout having any aspiration
To satisfy GodEven on rare occasions.
```No matter which incarnation
I think of,I just think of one thing:
The winding roadOf my mind’s confusion.
```Play the soul-stirring flute
To awaken humanityFrom its age-long ignorance-sleep.
```You are not at all prepared
For your inner examination.How do you then expect
Abiding satisfactionIn your outer life?
```Once his life was famed
For aspiration.Now his life is famed
For dedication. ```You need not practise
To win God’s Compassion-Eye,For His Compassion-Eye
Is unconditional.But you have to practise
To win God’s Satisfaction-Heart,For His Satisfaction-Heart
May be conditional. ```Your doubtful mind
Is teaching you how to walk backward.Where is your faithful heart
To help you march and run forward? ```You have lost
Your life’s hope-seeds.Alas, your soul’s promise-trees
Will never come into existence. ```You are your disobedience-sky.
How will you haveBeauty’s moon and divinity’s sun
In your sky? ```I really cannot understand
How you can be seizedWith desire-pangs
And aspiration-happinessAt the same time!
```Throw your devotion-javelin!
You are definitely going to pierceThe veil of ignorance-life.
```God has promised to visit
My silence-heartWith His blessingful Eye
And fruitful FeetAt least once a day.
```You know how
To argue with God,But God does not know how
To love you less. ```The soul’s flight of delight
Is never delayed.It always flies
At God’s choice Hour. ```Your universal negligence
Indicates that soonGod will lose all confidence
In you. ```When did God tell you
That you are indispensable?He only told you
That you are usefulAnd you can remain useful.
```How do you like your new life
Where God comes firstIn everything you say
And everything you do? ```One unguarded moment
Destroyed the satisfactionOf his entire day.
```What shall I do with my life?
Since I have no need for it,Either I can destroy it,
Or I can offer it to GodIn case He can use it.
```If you are afraid
Of mounting inner stairways,The solutions to your life’s problems
Will never be found. ```Unless you realise
That ignorance is the hardest pillow,You will not look for wisdom-light,
Which is really the softest pillow. ```To stop your desire-fire,
You have to bathe in the oceanOf God’s Forgiveness-Light.
```A secret war is going on
In my spiritual lifeBetween my heart’s patience
And my mind’s impatience. ```Not only his mind
But also his entire bodyIs infected
With measureless pride. ```If you refuse to surrender
To ignorance,Then God will definitely allow you
To live insideHis Compassion-Harbour.
```You need
Indescribable satisfactionTo conquer
Your irresistible temptation. ```He has two medicines
To cure all his diseases:Time and silence.
```He is playing hide-and-seek
With his doubting mind.Needless to say,
This is a forbidden game. ```What you are doing
Is just nourishing my fantasies.What I want
Is my long-lost heart-ecstasy. ```What saved his life?
Not his life’s outer capacityBut his heart’s inner sincerity.
```If you see
Through the eye of the heart,You will be ready to receive
The delight of perfection. ```Always put the accent
On God’s CompassionAnd not
On man’s promise-mountain. ```I am of God,
I am for God.Indeed, this experience
Is the springboardOf my God-commissioned life.
```If you are a non-seeker,
That means you have becomeThe unconscious possessor
Of a barren life. ```At long last
He is enjoying a little restFrom his dark doubt-dreams.
```If you disobey your Master,
You can rest assuredThat you will have a different name:
Failure. ```Since you do not know
When your life ascendsAnd descends,
You are definitely very far awayFrom perfection-delight.
```I have seen and I have heard,
But I want to see moreAnd I want to hear more
Of God’s Compassion-Blessing. ```Out of sheer curiosity
If you accept the spiritual life,How can you expect
Divine thoughts to nurse you? ```A wordless prayer of silence
Has surmountedAll his previous resistance-barriers.
```You have to discard
Quite a few thingsFrom your life.
Start by discardingYour uncomely thoughts.
```No matter how powerfully
You think,Your ego-castle is bound to crumble
Before long. ```When your spirituality becomes
Your unhappy duty,Futility becomes
Your unwanted companion. ```If you can show God
Your heart’s tenacity-capacity,God will definitely come
And stand before youAnd also crown you
With His Heart’s Satisfaction-Crown. ```Alas, he did not know
That he was going to be struckSo mercilessly
By unseen inferiority-blows. ```The ferocious vital-tiger
Can easily destroyThe auspicious breath of a seeker
If he is not all the timeCautious and conscious.
```Picture yourself
In your heart’s satisfaction-garden,For it is there
That you actually belong. ```You have spoken to God
A great many times.How is it that you have not asked Him
Even onceWhat He wants from your life?
```It is high time
For you to wake up,You fool!
Your conscious lifeIs unable to please God.
How do you thinkThat your unconscious sleep
Is going to satisfy God? ```If God can initiate everything
In your life,Can you not at least imitate Him
And prove that somedayYou will be His worthy heir?
```If you doubt your own inner life,
God the Justice will somedayDefinitely shout at you.
```God has already sent you
His urgent Love-Message,But alas,
You are nowhere to be found! ```If you hold nothing back from God,
God will keep you immuneTo ignorance-disease
Always. ```He has been bitten
By the doubt-cobra.Alas, faith-antidote is not available
Either here or there or anywhere. ```His heart’s surrender-song
Was cut shortBy his mind’s thunderstorm.
```Ask your false, flattering friends
If they can flatter GodAnd bring Him to you!
```He who does not aspire
Has either consciouslyOr unconsciously
Blinded himselfAnd become a blind instrument
Of fate. ```Each time he enters
Into his tranquillity-trance,God grants him two boons:
A silver dream-boatAnd a golden reality-shore.
```You can at least
Delay your departureIf you really have to enter
Into the ignorance-countryAnd dine with the prince of gloom.
```God never counts the cost
Of His Love for you.Can you not do the same
When you are loving God’s creation? ```Alas,
When is my heartGoing to blindfold
My earthly critic-eyes? ```Now that my mind
Rests in silence-light,Doubt-gravity no longer
Pulls my life down. ```When God carries me
In His Heart-Pocket,He tells me that I have to share
My God-realised breathWith humanity’s ceaseless tears.
