Vivekananda's Request

In May, I went to see our Jharna-Kala Card Company booth in Manhattan. I was looking at one particular card and appreciating it when all on a sudden I heard the voice of Vivekananda. I was looking at the card, but I was hearing only his emotional request or divine command that I had to give a Peace Concert dedicated to him. At first, he said one concert and then it became thirty-nine. He said, "Because you are my younger brother, you have to give." So I said, "Fine."

One day later, I phoned up my sister Lily just to chat. Perhaps I would have given her the message. But, as soon as I said hello, she started saying to me, "Madal, I have something to tell."

I said, "What do you have to tell?"

She said, "What happened? What happened?" Then she said, "You know, I see Mother Kali, Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, specially Ramakrishna, I am seeing them in your room, clapping their hands. They are so happy, so happy. Then they come to my room, full of happiness. Kali is so happy, Ramakrishna is so happy. What has happened?"

Then I told her that they were so happy that I had listened to Vivekananda's request. They were showing their appreciation, love and joy inside my family to my sister Lily.
