Sevananda's Transformation

When Sevananda first came to the meeting in our Puerto Rican Centre, his hair was longer than the longest, and his T-shirt was uglier than the ugliest.

I said to him, "José, tomorrow you will not be allowed to come in this way."

Then he said to me, "But Jesus Christ had long hair." That was how he started.

I said, "Yes, but there is a little difference between you and Jesus Christ! If I see Jesus Christ walking, I will run and fall at his feet. But if I see you walking, I will run away! Tomorrow, if you are going to come this way, you will not be allowed.

The next day he appeared with a proper haircut and nice, clean clothes. There was an immediate transformation from Sevananda.
