A Seeker from New Jersey

While I was waiting to reboard the plane at Frankfurt Airport, an Indian man came and stood very near me. He said, "May I come and touch your feet?"

Prabhakar and Ketan immediately said, "No, no, no!"

I looked at the man and I found that he was very good. He was quite young, about forty years old. First, I asked him his name. He told me his name and that he lived in New Jersey. He said he had heard so many things about me. He was looking and looking at me.

I said to myself, "All right. He is a Bengali." Then I said to the man, "All right, come."

He came and fell flat at my feet. His legs were fully outstretched. He touched my feet and then again, with folded hands, he was looking at me. Even after touching my feet, he did not get up.

In Bengali, I said to him, "Enough, enough! Now please stand up."

The man stood up for a few seconds, then again he started touching my feet.

I said to myself, "O my God, this has become a real episode!"

So, I said farewell to the young man and went inside the gate.
