Today is a holiday to celebrate the end of Ramadan, the Muslim time of fasting. Some people told us that all the shops would be closed. When we got there, I saw that people were going into one store through the side door. This store belongs to a very clever Hindu shopkeeper. He knew that most of the Muslim shops would be closed today. He wanted to show his sympathetic oneness with the Muslims, but he was also thinking about his pocketbook. He saw a unique opportunity to make money. So, he kept the front door of his shop closed, but the side door was wide open.
When we went in, we saw that there were hundreds of people inside. Indeed, this was his oneness!
