Enjoying My Evening Walk

I continued walking and covered half a mile. In front of me, on the sidewalk, I saw an elderly couple. The gentleman was using a cane and his wife was helping him, clasping his arms.

I was so happy that there are some people who walk even more slowly than I do! God is so kind to me. Then I did not have to worry about my walking speed.

For 300 metres, or even more, how slowly they were walking! And I did not have the inclination to enter into the street to pass them. I said, "It is night. The roads are dangerous. Everything is peaceful here on the sidewalk. Why do I have to pass them? If I walk at their speed, I will be able to have my own meditation. My meditation will be more powerful."

Then I walked and walked and walked very slowly. At last I came to Utopia Parkway. I stayed there, at the junction, for a few minutes. That is my favourite place. Then I came walking back home.

When I came near my house, I saw Shephali taking Chela out for his walk. Shephali said, "Guru, we were worrying like anything! Ranjana is so worried. Where did you go for such a long time?"

I came home and then Ranjana said, "How can you be so late?"

I was enjoying my evening walk.
