Sri Chinmoy: First, it brought me here, to New York. But the Supreme chose me as one of His instruments to be of service here, and naturally He found New York to be most suitable for my purpose. Otherwise, He would have taken me to some other States. So, in that sense, I can say that the Supreme chose me and chose New York together. At every moment, I feel that the West can easily run abreast with the East. Of course, East has to feel what East has to offer, and the West has to feel what the West has to offer towards the full manifestation of the divine life here on earth. The East is offering its inner peace and the West is offering its inner dynamism. So, this way, the West and East are becoming one. I am using the term 'inner peace'. Please forgive me. Otherwise, you may take me to task. You will say that so many things are happening in India and all that. So, I have to be guarded. It is all inner peace I am referring to. As we spiritual Masters are now in the West and if somebody asks what are you doing for people here? So, we say that we are trying to offer the little inner peace we have received from our spiritual life.
