This Is My Place

I went to Switzerland for the first time in November 1970. I was supposed to give a talk at the American International School in Zurich. Alo and Mahalakshmi, who was Mahavishnu John McLaughlin's wife, accompanied me. Mahalakshmi went to buy flowers for the talk. It was evening, and Alo and I were standing outside the flower shop.

With utmost delight, I remarked, "This is absolutely my place, my place for God-manifestation. Here I see and feel inner power and outer strength."

The spiritual receptivity of Switzerland in its inner openness and outer fulness conquered my very breath.
