Is God-realisationEverybody’s birthright?

How can the human cryBe transformed into a divine smile?
```If your life has a sacred thirst,
Then God is bound to grant youHis own secret Well to quench it.
```Love your heart ever more.

Stay where you are.I am running towards you.
What for?To reduce your life’s
Loud clatterings. ```Sleepless perfection,
Will you ever be mine?Sleepless satisfaction,
Can I be yours, only yours? ```I once promised myself
That I would not try to escapeAny appropriate punishment
If I misbehaved in my inner life.Yet my promise remains unfulfilled.
```Beautiful is his heart’s loyalty.
Soulful is his mind’s enthusiasm.Fruitful is his life’s obedience.
```Unless I cross the mind’s barrier,
How can I see beauty’s face,Purity’s heart
And divinity’s soul? ```What can my little hands do?
They can paint the FaceOf God the Beauty.
What can my heart’s soulful will do?It can liberate man,
The bondage-slave. ```A purity-heart
Has the capacityAnd is the capacity
To live insideThe heart of Infinity’s Love-Light.
```If I can keep my life safe
From my mind’s ignorance-dreams,Then I do not see why and how
I cannot become a perfect instrumentOf my Beloved Supreme.
```If humility is mighty,
Then purity is almighty.If surrender is powerful,
Then gratitude is all-powerful. ```No matter how divine and how perfect
A human being is,He is subject to the scorn
Of multitude-tongues. ```If God’s Mind is subtle,
His Heart is simple.If God’s Compassion-Eye is powerful,
His Satisfaction-Life is blessingful. ```Each human desire
Is an arrowWhich is quite often apt
To miss the target. ```As a flower is blessed
With fragrance and beauty,Even so, each human being is blessed
With inner purity and divinity. ```Because he has divine thoughts
As his unparalleled inheritance,His life is a constant expression
Of his heart’s intense gratitude. ```His firm belief:
Unless his entire being criesFor fulness-splendour in life,
Tears will drainHis aspiration-heart dry.
```When imagination fails you,
Do not feel sad.Just smile and remain serene.
From Above you will get another chanceTo catch the imagination-bird.
```Just refuse to sing with your mind.
Behold!Your heart is all ready
To teach you its own soulful songs. ```If you can cherish
What you have already received from God,God will, without fail,
Grant you His Eternity’s Treasure-Smile. ```Be sure to know
What hurts you more:To teach the world
Or to learn from the world. ```No matter what your physical appearance,
There is always a most beautiful personInside your heart
Who can make your face truly beautiful. ```As there is no such thing
As a perfect desire,Even so, there is no such thing
As imperfect aspiration-surrender. ```A doubtful mind,
A fearful heartAnd a hateful life
Are the unmistakable and powerful causesOf sudden death in the spiritual life.
```We need many, many things from God
To become His divine instruments.But what we need most of all
Is to keep our heart’s doorSleeplessly open to Him.
```If you do not know how to smile
When you descend,Then God in His Infinite Compassion
May not appearTo help you ascend once again.
```You say you are
A genuine God-lover.If so, how is it
That your imagination-birdIs mercilessly locked up
In a tiny cage,And your aspiration-bird
Is tightly locked upIn a tiny cave?
```You can love the world dauntlessly
Because God is always for you.You can serve the world unconditionally
Because God is always with you. ```As my doubting mind is aware
Of God’s Compassion-Eye,Even so, my unaspiring life is aware
Of God’s Forgiveness-Heart. ```When I use my heart
As God intended,Only then can I say
That I live for God’s Love alone. ```Do you not see
That God is unfolding HimselfBefore your very eyes?
Do you not see
That your heart and God’s HeartAre two open books to each other?
```You say that you pray every day.
But if you really prayed,Your prayer would definitely sink into
Your aspiration-heart and gratitude-life. ```His heart is crying
For God’s Supreme Love.His mind is crying
For man’s lofty appreciation.Alas, what is man doing?
Man is dyingTo see his fall.
And what is God doing?God is unveiling Himself
To be claimed powerfully by him. ```The mind tells the heart
That it will never seeThe Face of God.
The heart receives Blessing-LightFrom the soul,
Which buries the curse of the mindIn oblivion-night.
```When my soul invites me,
It is all in perfect silence-light.When I invite my soul,
It is all in imperfect sound-might. ```When you meditate,
If thoughts are flocking,Then try to imagine
That God Himself is rockingYour heart-cradle.
```When the mind reigns over matter,
You can conquer the outer heights.When the inner depths conquer the mind,
Your aspiration-dedication-lifeBecomes unparalleled.
```My Lord is not pleased
When I say I am not worthy of Him.My Lord is pleased
Only when I sayI am definitely going to be
His choice instrument. ```Nothing is worth believing:
This is what the human mindTells us.
Doubt is worth nothing:
This is what the divine heartTells us.
```The cynical eye distrusts.
What does it distrust?It distrusts man,
The God-representative on earth. ```His heart called out,
“Doubt, the bandit,Must be seized and imprisoned!”
Doubt immediately surrendered,And longed to be transformed
Into the heart’s choice instrument. ```My dedication to the world
Should be a beautiful giftAnd not a demanding expectation.
```His mind has unparalleled poise.
Do you know why?Because his heart is in constant touch
With Eternity’s Silence-Smile. ```Do you know what has crushed
Your life’s pride?It is your huge,
Fallen self-expectation-tree. ```What the weeping multitudes need
Is a divine strengthBeyond human hope.
```Although you are not aspiring
To His Satisfaction,Just because you are still aspiring,
The unexpected Supreme GuestWill come to you
With His inexplicable Splendour. ```Sorrow-rain will eventually
Fall heavily on youIf you always remain
Self-enamoured. ```Aspiration is the beginning
Of self-mastery.Self-mastery is the halfway point
To God-discovery. ```My heart’s sleepless cry
Is my Lord’s earth-born child.My soul’s matchless smile
Is my Lord’s Heaven-born child. ```Determination is my mind’s God.
Hope is my heart’s God.Promise is my soul’s God.
Surrender is my life’s God. ```Why do I choose to hide?
Not because I am a thief,But because the God-Hour
Has not yet struckFor me to reveal myself.
```My search for satisfaction within
Is yet unfinished.My search for perfection without
Is yet to begin. ```At your slightest hint
Of surrender-lightGod will come to you
With His Infinity’s Satisfaction-Delight. ```Expand your heart,
Transcend your mind!Lo, your ego-life
Is all gone. ```Open the door
Of your gratitude-heart.Anxiety, the treacherous queen,
Will no longer be ableTo rule your life.
```To serve mankind
You need only two clean hands.To serve God
You need only one pure heart. ```A doubtful mind
And a fearful heartAre indeed
Two monsters of waste. ```Self-contempt will cling to you
Unless you become awareOf your earthly role:
You are Eternity’s pilgrimOn Immortality’s road.
```If you allow your mind
To be chained to time,How can you be God’s choice instrument
In the heart of mankindOr even in the Heart of God?
```There is only one God-trodden path,
And that path liesInside your heart,
Not before your eyes. ```If you keep your heart-eye veiled,
Naturally you will be piercedBy the wild shafts
Of darkness-night. ```His heart of love
And his life of serviceAre always guided
By his inner glimpseOf God’s outer Smile.
```When the heart does not listen
To the dictates of the soul,The heart is bound to become
A ruined paradise. ```How can you proceed today
If you do not laughAt your yesterday’s despair-night?
```Unless I become
A visible aspiration-flameIn the depths of my heart,
An invisible frustrationWill torture my life.
```If you are silent
And uncomplaining,God will cheerfully allow you
To join HimIn His own eternal Hunger
For self-transcendence. ```Fear, doubt and worry
Will have to leave eventuallyWith their family of sighs.
```You do not have to run away
From yourself.God not only will carry your burden
But He will also carry you,For He knows that He alone
Is the universal Burden-Bearer. ```A questioning mind
Does not want to perceive.A questioning heart
Does not want to receive.A questioning life
Does not want to achieve. ```O fearful heart, believe me!
This world is not as undivineAs you think.
This mind is not as importantAs you think.
Heaven is not as remoteAs you think.
```How can your heart be pleased
With anything here on earthWhen your mind is critical
Of everything there in Heaven? ```Your outer service to mankind
Will give your inner faithA splendid victory.
```Because your life enjoys
Trivial and worthless activities,Your God-loving heart
Is still lockedIn an amazingly cruel prison.
```O unbelieving mind,
I shall show youWhere God is.
O unaspiring heart,
I shall tell youWho God is.
```His Heaven-life saw
A mountain of promise.His earth-life is now dying for
A flicker of hope. ```Because your soul has planned your life
From the beginning of time,You are eager to extinguish
Your earth-desire-flames. ```O fearful freedom,
Who wants to have you?No, not my crying heart.
O soulful freedom,
Who wants to have you?No, not my doubting mind.
```When I live in the very depths
Of my heart,I run towards my destined goal.
When I live inside my mind,My desire-life runs towards me
Fast, very fast. ```My mind is not satisfied
With newness.Therefore, I am unhappy.
My heart is not satisfied
With fulness.Therefore, I am unhappy.
My Lord and I are satisfied
With our oneness.Therefore, we are eternally happy.
```A money-minded seeker
Is on the wrong train.His train will have no destination.
No, never! ```My Lord,
My dream-sky existsOnly for You.
My reality-clouds existOnly for You.
```You are a broken-hearted seeker
Just because your heart has becomeA self-confessed insecurity.
```If your outer liking
And your inner dislikingOf the world
Keep you always upset,Then invoke the presence
Of peace;It will grant you
Eternity’s oneness-reality. ```Since you are no longer
The slave of fear,I shall shed a fountain
Of joy-tears. ```If you want to become
Eternity’s peace-distributing self,Then never give in
To the falsehood-power of neutrality. ```My Lord,
You do not have to breakThe chains of my sinful life.
Just show me how I can chain myselfTo Your Compassion-Feet.
```Do not allow your hope
To disappoint you.Let your hope be
The sunlit frontierOf your God-searching mind.
```If you can become
An unconditionally surrendered seeker,You will see that few
Will take birth on earthTo equal you
And your unparalleled achievement. ```Because of your beauty’s mind,
Because of your purity’s heart,Because of your divinity’s life,
You have become a universal favourite. ```Perfection means constant rejection
Of your desire-life.Perfection means constant acceptance
Of your aspiration-heart. ```Each time a new wave of faith
Enters into him,His mind marshals
His life’s doubt-clouds. ```Disobedience is
The beginning of deathIn the spiritual life.
Ingratitude isPermanent death
In the spiritual life. ```I pray and meditate
To lengthen the dayOf my heart.
I pray and meditate
Not only to delay but also to cancelThe arrival of ignorance-night.
```A spiritually full man
Is he who fans the flameOf his aspiration
Each new dayMore cheerfully and more powerfully.
```God helps the seeker
Create his tomorrow’s world todayWhen the seeker’s life becomes
A surrender-moon and a gratitude-sun. ```My Lord,
You have my tomorrowInside Your Heart.
Can I not have Your TodayInside my heart?
