On 18 December 2002, in Wellington, New Zealand, Sri Chinmoy hosted a special function for Brazilian runner and 1984 Olympic gold medallist in the 800 metres, Joaquim Cruz. Joaquim was in New Zealand to conduct coaching sessions. Joaquim answered many questions from Sri Chinmoy and his students and showed videos of his major races.
