_Notes Note: Sri Chinmoy wrote this song on December 17, 2004 to mark a Guinness World Record that was broken that day by his disciple, Ashrita Furman, during the Christmas Trip in Xiamen, China, by running 8 kilometers (nearly 5 miles) on stilts in just under 40 minutes. In the song, Sri Chinmoy refers to Ashrita as the “winner of the long century” — reflecting the fact that the previous record had stood for more than a 100 years. Ashrita credits his athletic ability to meditation techniques taught to him by Sri Chinmoy. Twenty years later, as of this publication, Ashrita’s record still stands, according to the Guinness World Records website. <html></div></html> <html>
