The Wings of Light, part 3

Return to the table of contents

101. Death-dance

I met God in Heaven.
He asked me
How I was.

I met man on earth.
He wanted me to tell
How he was.

I met Satan in hell.
He told me that he had
Adopted a new course of life:
He prays to God every day,
He meditates on God every day,
He even loves God every day.

I met myself in the doubt-tornado
Of my mind, lost all:
Death-dance within, without.

102. When I appreciate myself

When I appreciate myself
Humanity ridicules me,
Divinity enlightens me.

Divinity tells me that
My appreciation-power
Is nowhere near my achievement-height.

Humanity tells me that
My “whole” is but a big hole.

103. Came and left

Great men came
And
Great men left.
The world was sleeping.

Good men came
And
Good men left.
The world was snoring.

Small men came
And
Lost their vision.
The world is now treating
their blind souls.

Bad men came
And
Lost their passports.
The world is now examining
their careless souls.

104. My journey, my goal

My life is my journey,
My love is my goal.

My love is my journey,
My oneness is my goal.

My oneness is my journey,
My perfection is my goal.

My perfection is my journey,
My smile is my goal.

105. Together cry, together fly

A fearful man and destruction
Together cry.

A fearless man and Liberation
Together dance.

A faithless man and despair
Together sink.

A faithful man and Bliss
Together fly.

106. Learn to shut the door

Learn to shut the door.
Fear will not frighten you.

Learn to shut the door.
Doubt will not blight you.

Learn to shut the door.
Jealousy will not strangle you.

Learn to open the door.
Courage will beautify you.

Learn to open the door.
Faith will glorify you.

Learn to open the door.
Oneness will immortalise you.

107. Take it easy!

Take it easy!
Still you have many more years on earth.

Take it easy!
Remember God has not forsaken you.

Take it easy!
Your promise-land is God’s Dream-Dawn.

Take it easy!
God needs you more than you need Him.

108. Stop! Stop!

Stop!
Stop!
Stop starving your body.
Your body is God’s sacred temple.

Stop!
Stop!
Stop starving your heart.
Your heart is God’s secret shrine.

Stop!
Stop!
Stop starving your soul.
Your soul is God’s dream-fulfilling Deity.

109. Don't be afraid!

Don’t be afraid!
He is just a man-dog
Who is barking at you.

Don’t be afraid!
He is just a God-lion
Who is roaring to inspire you,
To energise you,
To immortalise you.

110. You have a friend

You have a friend.
You may not feel his love
But
He does love you.

You have a friend.
You may not recognise his help
But
He does help you.

You have a friend.
You may not believe
That he thinks only of you
But
He does think only of you.

111. All

My body does all the sleeping
And
All the wasting.

My vital does all the jumping
And
All the breaking.

My mind does all the thinking
And
All the doubting.

My heart does all the loving
And
All the fulfilling.

My soul does all the watching
And
All the caring,
All the tolerating,
All the sanctioning,
All the inspiring,
All the transforming,
All the perfecting.

112. How to live in a time like this?

How to live in a time like this?
How?
Just smile.
Lo, the world-suspicion-tiger is dead.

How to live in a time like this?
How?
Just smile.
Lo, the world-blindness-elephant is dead.

How to live in a time like this?
How?
Just smile.
Lo, the world-autocracy-lion is dead.

How to live in a time like this?
You fool!
Don’t you know that you are
The very root of the world-miseries,
The world-calamities,
The world-failures?

113. My four sermons

I have given only four sermons
During my entire life.

My first sermon:
“I love Heaven.”

My second sermon:
“I need earth.”

My third sermon:
“Heaven, my Heaven-flower, claims me.”

My fourth and last sermon:
“Earth, my earth-fruit, I sacrifice.”

114. If I am not for myself

If I am not for myself,
Who will be for me?

God will be for me.
God the Lover will be for me.
God the Beloved will be for me.

If I am for myself,
Who will not be for me?

God the dearest Father will not be for me.
God the sweetest Mother will not be for me.
God the eternal Friend will not be for me.

115. A tree without roots

Love without life
Is a tree without roots.

Life without love
Is a tree without fruits.

Beauty without purity
Is a tree without roots.

Purity without beauty
Is a tree without fruits.

116. Some go up, some come down

Prayer goes up;
God the Compassion comes down.

Aspiration goes up;
God the Salvation comes down.

Meditation goes up;
God the Liberation comes down.

Surrender goes up;
God the Perfection comes down.

117. They will not love you less

Truth will not love you less
Because Love loves you more.

Love will not love you less
Because Joy loves you more.

Joy will not love you less
Because Perfection loves you more.

Perfection will not love you less
Because Immortality loves you more.

118. Pessimist, optimist, realist

A pessimist is he
Who shuts his eyes
To the rising sun.

An optimist is he
Who looks up and sees
Through the teeming clouds.

A realist is he
Who faces the clouds
And adores the sun.

119. Perfection

Perfection, what is it?
A smile of the Beyond.

Perfection, where is it?
In the heart of the Infinite.

Perfection, who has it?
The Absolute alone.

120. My progress

Fear and Power begin my morn.
Doubt and Light begin my noon.
Depression and Peace begin my eve.
God and I discuss my progress at night.

121. Nothing to declare

His body has nothing to declare
Save and except
The flood of impurity.

His vital has nothing to declare
Save and except
The dance of a mad elephant.

His smile has nothing to declare
Save and except
The strength of an ant.

His heart has nothing to declare
Save and except
The constant fear of death.

His soul has nothing to declare
Save and except
The Compassion-moon of the Supreme.

122. Far beyond the command

A poet is born,
Neither made nor paid.

A singer is born,
Not made, but paid.

An artist is born,
Destined to starve and feast.

A philosopher is made,
Paid, but ridiculed.

A thinker is made
More than paid.

A God-lover is far beyond the command
Of life and death.
For he has what God is: Divinity’s Smile.

123. My depression-winter, my destruction-summer

Poor God!
When He visits my home
I am not there.
When He visits my store
I am not there.
When He visits my friends
I am not there.
Where can God find me?
Ah!
He can find me
In the cold-life of my depression-winter,
In the heat-life of my destruction-summer.

124. A constant and a rare guest

A constant human guest is
Never
Welcome, we know.

A rare human guest is
Most sincerely,
Most devotedly
Welcome, we know.

A constant guest at God’s Door is
More than
Welcome, my soul says.

A rare guest at God’s Door is
Always
Welcome, my heart says.

125. The hospital of the incurable

There is no difference
Between
The suspicion-mind
And
The hospital of the incurable.

There is no difference
Between
The depression-vital
And
The hospital of the incurable.

There is no difference
Between
The insecurity-heart
And
The hospital of the incurable.

There is no difference
Between
The impurity-body
And
The hospital of the incurable.

This is my proud earth-bound human realisation.
Lo, my Heaven-free divine Realisation
Laughs and laughs
At my human achievement-heights.

126. Only one subject

His body is ignorant of only one subject:
Awaking!
His vital is ignorant of only one subject:
Arising!
His mind is ignorant of only one subject:
Enlarging!
His heart is ignorant of only one subject:
Crying!
His soul is ignorant of only one subject:
Illumining!

127. When I rest

When I rest, I rust.
When I rust, I starve my God-life.
When I starve my God-life, death invites me
To dance in the desert-heart
Of tornado-night.

128. Falsehood-load, falsehood-net

His soul does not know
How to tell a lie.
His heart knows
How to tell a lie
But it will not do so.

He asked God if he should
Love them equally.
God said to him he must,
For God Himself
Loves them equally.

Because of God’s love for his soul,
God did not burden it
With falsehood-load.
Because of God’s love for his heart,
God warns and cautions it
Against falsehood-net.

129. My realisations

My soul’s realisation:
I am a golden divinity.

My heart’s realisation:
I am a silver reality.

My mind’s realisation:
I am dawn’s possibility.

My vital’s realisation:
I am almost an impossibility.

My body’s realisation:
I am a total impossibility.

130. When he had

When he had
World-knowledge
Everybody called him father.

When he had
Great fortune
Everybody called him brother.

When he had
Heaven-wisdom
Everybody called him friend.

When he lost
Everything
Everybody denied him everything.
But
God placed him unconditionally
On His transcendental Throne.

131. Your true reality

Sincerity is a divine arm;
Use it or lose it.

Purity is a divine eye;
Love it or destroy it.

Humility is a divine heart;
Illumine it or blind it.

Divinity is your true reality;
Assume it or forsake it.

132. Two messages

Lord, if what I have
Is the message of aspiration,
Then do give me the message of manifestation.

Lord, if what I have
Is the message of manifestation,
Then do give me the message of aspiration.

“My son, you have both
The message of aspiration and
The message of manifestation.

“Your aspiration-message:
I need it.
Your manifestation-message:
I treasure it.”

133. My journey

Reverence:
I started my journey’s birth
With the reverence-spirit.

Perseverance:
I continue my journey’s flow
With the perseverance-heart.

Omnipresence:
I shall end my journey’s close
With my omnipresence-spirit.

134. Philosophy

My mind’s philosophy:
I came from the nowhere-shore
To live in the nothing-sea.

My heart’s philosophy:
I was of God,
I am in man.

My soul’s philosophy:
I assume God’s form and
I transcend my transcendental Form.

135. My future smiles

My enemies
Are my future friends.
My friends
Are my future sons.
My sons
Are my future Suns.
My Suns
Are my future Smiles.

136. Thinking

You are too lazy to think.
He knows nothing but thinking.

The human world
Knows not how to think.
Therefore
It most deplorably sinks.

The divine world
Blesses the thought-sea,
Transforms the thought-sea,
And offers the will-sun
To the thought-sea.

137. Who has, is

Who has, is.
Who is, sows.
Who sows, glows.
Who glows, liberates.
Who liberates, perfects.
Who perfects, has.
Who has, is.

138. A time when he shall surrender

There was a time
When he could;
Therefore
He did.

Now he cannot;
Therefore
He cries.

There shall be a time
When he shall surrender;
Therefore
God Himself will have to do
Everything for him,
And He will.

139. My blunders

My failure
Enlarged my blunders.
My success
Covered my blunders.
My progress
Illumined my blunders.

My illumined blunders
Have added much light
To my perfect perfection-sea.

140. Say and give

The animal in me
Has to say something.

The human in me
Has something to say.

The divine in me
Says and gives.

The Supreme in me
Just gives and gives.

141. God loves him

His prayer is his lip-homage,
Yet God loves him.

His prayer is his clever deception,
Yet God loves him.

God loves him because
He is of God.

He shall be for God because
He is in God.

142. Love needs one thing

Love needs no sword
To rule the world.
Love needs no cord
To bind the world.
Love needs no strength
To free the world.
Love needs no wisdom
To expand the world.
Yet
Love needs one thing:
Acceptance, your total acceptance.

143. Just see

Christ
Calls us
Honours us
Remakes us
Immortalises us
Satisfies the Supreme in us.
Together, the Supreme, Christ and we
Shall create the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
When?
Just see
If it is not already done!

144. God needs you

I demand of you
Because
I love you.

I love you
Because
God needs you.

God needs you
Because
You are His glowing
And
Fulfilling Promise.

145. Beauty

Beauty
Is the door.
Sincerity
Is the door-keeper.
Purity
Is the door-lover.
Humility
Is the door-opener.
Divinity
Is the door-owner.

146. Four truths

I speak of the unfathomable truth:
Love.
I think of the immeasurable truth:
Light.
I meditate on the unsurpassable truth:
Compassion.
I love the undeniable truth:
Perfection.

147. Love you must

Pray
If you want to.
Meditate
If you can.
Surrender
You must try.
Love
You must.
I repeat,
Love
You must.

148. What is it?

Love:
What is it
If not the royal road
To Realisation?

Devotion:
What is it
If not the short-cut
To Realisation?

Surrender:
What is it
If not a bud
Of the Realisation-Tree?

149. The story of the human world

Human help
Waxes to wane.
Human love
Grows to decay.
Human life
Lives to die.
Human death
Rests to re-enter.

This is indeed the story
Of the human world.

150. Yet his compassion loves me

I saw Him,
But
I forgot to ask Him his Name.
Yet His Compassion loves me.

I dined with Him,
But
I forgot to ask Him His Address.
Yet His Compassion loves me.

I sang with Him,
But
I have forgotten the Tune.
Yet His Compassion loves me.

I danced with Him,
But
I have forgotten the cadence.
Yet His Compassion loves me.

I played with Him,
But
I forgot to smile at Him.
Yet His Compassion loves me.
