The Wings of Light, part 7

Return to the table of contents

301. In you I see

O sobbing sighs
Of the morning star,
In you I see the Beauty
Of the Lord Supreme.

O blossoming smile
Of the morning sun,
In you I feel the Duty
Of the Lord Supreme.

302. The green vast fields

The green vast fields
Of my aspiring heart
Are waiting for God’s Hour
In my surrendering heart of night.

The blue vast skies
Of my revealing soul
Are offering the power of love
In the fulfilling life of Light.

303. My consciousness-tree

Yesterday I loved
My sapling consciousness-tree
Because
It embodied my journey’s start.

Today I love
My youngling consciousness-tree
Because
It reveals my journey’s speed.

Tomorrow I shall love
My climbing, glowing and spreading consciousness-tree
Because
It will fulfil my journey’s promise.

304. Silence-face, Forgiveness-smile

Life is but a day.
Therefore
I try to finish
All my aspiring
And
All my loving
In the short span
Of one single day.

Life is but Eternity,
Therefore
I sleep and dream,
I sing and dance
And
Dance and sing
In the Silence-Face, Forgiveness-Smile
Of the birthless and deathless Day.

305. No more!

I was my heart’s
Sleeping rocks.

I was my heart’s
Brooding clouds.

I was my heart’s
Burning anguish.

I was my heart’s
Sinking heights.

But no more!
I repeat:
No more!
Again I repeat:
No more, No more!

306. I breathe in, I breathe out

Quickly and lovingly
Smilingly and triumphantly
I breathe in
The blossoming breath
Of my golden morn.

Quickly and steadily
Helplessly and unreservedly
I breathe out
The fading breath
Of my folding eve.

307. The music of the heart

The music of the heart
Is the silence-light
Of Perfection-height.
The aspiration-world has discovered
This truth sublime.

The music of the vital
Is the elephant-ignorance
Of destruction-night.
The desire-world shall discover
This truth infallible.

308. Not born for death

Not one but three discoveries supreme
I have already made:

My heart of redolent gratitude-blossoms
Was not born for death.

My soul of perfect oneness-vision
Was not born for death.

My life of constant manifestation-light
Was not born for death.

309. My eyes need

My closed eyes
Need
God the Beauty.

My open eyes
Need
God the Duty.

My half-open and
half-closed eyes
Need
God the Sovereignty.

310. Vital night and psychic light

When my vital night
Replaces my psychic light,
I die before I sink.

When my psychic light
Replaces my vital night,
I fly before I try.

311. I love

I love the dancing
Of teeming clouds
Because
Of their thunder-power.

I love the singing
Of passing clouds
Because
Of their diamond-wisdom.

I love the dreaming
Of weeping clouds
Because
Of their sacrifice-soul.

312. When I woke up

Before I went to sleep
I saw my death’s dateless night.

During my sleep
I saw my life’s endless light.

When I woke up
I found Mother Earth’s Compassion
In my aspiration-heart,
And Father Heaven’s Perfection
Around my dedication-life.

313. Wait a minute, God, please!

Wait a minute, God, please!
I have more to tell You
About my inner pangs.

Wait a minute, God, please!
I have more to tell You
About my outer triumphs.

Wait a minute, God, please!
I have more to tell You
About my surrender-light.

314. His is the soul that loves

His is the vital that loves
The imperious waves.

His is the mind that loves
The spacious skies.

His is the heart that loves
The gracious sun.

His is the soul that loves
The precious moon.

315. A good price

The voice of a singing rivulet
I had.
I sold it at a very reasonable price.

The voice of smashing thunder
I have.
I am begging ignorance to buy it from me.

The voice of the liberating God
I shall have.
I shall give it to Mother Earth
At a good price -
Free,
Absolutely free.

316. O pilgrim soul

O pilgrim soul,
Divinity
Is in your untiring feet.

O pilgrim soul,
Infinity
Is in your unblinking eyes.

O pilgrim soul,
Eternity
Is in your unbending head.

O pilgrim soul,
Immortality
Is in your unthinking heart.

317. I am telling you the truth

The power of poise-sky
I had.
I am telling you the truth.

The power of justice-light
I have.
I am telling you the truth.

The power of compassion-moon
I shall have.
I am telling you the truth.

318. They shall go and return

My heart shall go to Heaven
And return.
My heart shall return with more
Compassion-power.

My mind shall go to Heaven
And return.
My mind shall return with more
Perfection-light.

My vital shall go to Heaven
And return.
My vital shall return with more
Justice-height.

My body shall go to Heaven
And return.
My body shall return with more
Patience-length.

319. They do not want me

I have wasted my time;
Therefore
Bliss does not want me.

I have neglected my duty;
Therefore
Peace does not want me.

I have rejected truth;
Therefore
Light does not want me.

320. Enough!

O hope, O eyeless hope,
Cling not.
Enough of your tenacity!

O reality, O vast reality,
Sleep not.
Enough of your cruelty!

O God, O mighty God,
Demand not.
Enough of Your authority!

321. My silver key, my golden key

My silver key
Opens the door
Of my wakeful and tearful heart
For God to come in
And my ignorance to go out.

My golden key
Opens the door
Of God’s Nectar-Smile
For me to talk to God,
To sit on His Throne,
To become His Crown.

322. Is it fair?

God, is it fair
That I am doomed to stay
With my lifeless body?

God, is it fair
That I am doomed to walk
With my cheerless vital?

God, is it fair
That I am doomed to think
With my thoughtless mind?

God, is it fair
That I am doomed to dance
With my soulless heart?

God, is it fair
That I am doomed to dream
With my goalless soul?

323. God will be arriving soon

O my unclean body,
Be careful.
God the Purity
Will be arriving soon.

O my unruly vital,
Be careful.
God the Power
Will be arriving soon.

O my unthinking mind,
Be careful.
God the Light
Will be arriving soon.

O my unaspiring heart,
Be careful.
God the uncompromising King
Will be arriving soon.

324. I am a child of Grace

I am a child of Grace
When I pray soulfully.

I am a child of Race
When I concentrate one-pointedly.

I am a child of Peace
When I meditate silently.

I am a child of Delight
When I contemplate selflessly.

325. The supreme Truth

God is a tiny insect.
This is a strange truth.

God is a huge elephant.
This is a normal truth.

God is a devouring tiger.
This is a peculiar truth.

God is a speedy deer.
This is an infallible truth.

God is a loving cow.
This is the supreme Truth.

326. The song of my emptiness

I need an empty body
To receive God’s Consciousness-Love-Light.

I need an empty vital
To receive God’s Consciousness-Love-Might.

I need an empty mind
To receive God’s Consciousness-Love-Peace.

I need an empty heart
To receive God’s Consciousness-Love-Bliss.

327. I touched God's feet

I touched God’s white Feet.
Purity’s flood I became.

I touched God’s green Feet.
Beauty’s field I became.

I touched God’s blue Feet.
Divinity’s sky I became.

I touched God’s gold Feet.
Reality’s sun I became.

328. They declare

Silently
My soul declares
The Vision of the Supreme.

Tenderly
My heart declares
The Compassion of the Supreme.

Clearly
My mind declares
The Light of the Supreme.

Boldly
My vital declares
The Power of the Supreme.

Unerringly
My body declares
The Love of the Supreme.

329. Do you know?

Do you know that my heart
Is a sacred island?
Perhaps you know.

Do you know that my mind
Is a secret island?
Perhaps you know.

Do you know that my vital
Is an ignored island?
Perhaps you know.

Do you know that my body
Is a treasure-island?
Ah, you didn’t know?

Then learn it once and for all.

330. I believe

I whole-heartedly believe
God is always great and aloof.

I half-heartedly believe
God is always good and kind.

With some difficulty I believe
God cares for me.

With no difficulty I believe
God deserves my criticism.

331. My ancient dream

O Lord Supreme,
Teach my mind
How to sleep without a futile dream.
O Lord Supreme,
Teach my heart
How to regain my ancient dream —
The dream that revealed
You and I are one,
The dream that distributed
Our respective tasks:
You the Monarch of Heaven,
And I the Monarch of earth.

332. The thunder

The thunder of the green earth
Teaches my life.

The thunder of the blue sky
Examines my life.

The thunder of the gold Heaven
Declares my triumphant results.

The thunder of the black hell
Desires my achievement-treasure.

333. I wish to remain a practical man

I love like God.
Therefore
I am an equal partner
Of God the Lover.

I think like God.
Therefore
I am an equal partner
Of God the Thinker.

I dream like God.
Therefore
I am an equal partner
Of God the Dreamer.

But
I act not like God the Doer,
Because
I wish to remain
A practical man.

334. Life-root, life-goal

My life-root silently
Expands.

My life-tree confidently
Ascends.

My life-fruit slowly
Descends.

My life-goal supremely
Ascends.

335. God's Eyes

God’s thinking Eyes
I appreciate.

God’s talking Eyes
I admire.

God’s dreaming Eyes
I adore.

God’s illumining Eyes
I love.

God’s perfecting Eyes
I fear.

336. Five messages

Perfection
Is the message of my soul.

Compassion
Is the message of my heart.

Determination
Is the message of my mind.

Expansion
Is the message of my vital.

Revelation
Is the message of my body.

337. The transcendence

His eyes are the depths
Of the Life Divine.

His mind is the promise
Of the Life Divine.

His heart is the assurance
Of the Life Divine.

His soul is the transcendence
Of the Life Divine.

338. My houses

My soul-house
Was made by God the Dreamer.

My heart-house
Was made by God the Seeker.

My mind-house
Was made by God the Thinker.

My vital-house
Was made by God the Lover.

My body-house
Was made by God the Sufferer.

339. My silence-soul

My silence-soul
Sows,
My silence-heart
Grows.

My silence-vital
Receives,
My silence-body
Achieves.

340. I forgot and now I recall

I forgot
And now
I recall:
God is my Reality’s loving Friend.

I forgot
And now
I recall:
God is my Divinity’s helping Brother.

I forgot
And now
I recall:
God is my Immortality’s sacrificing Sister.

341. God's silver ladder, God's golden wings

My heart and I cried.
Therefore
God gave us His silver ladder to climb.

My life and I surrendered.
Therefore
God gave us His golden wings to fly.

342. When I sang the silence-song

When God sang the sound-song,
I told Him that was not fair:
He was singing my song.

When I sang the silence-song,
God happily and unconditionally
Told me that
Since I had learnt His song
He could peacefully retire.

343. The tiniest drop

The curse of Time
I can easily endure,
The strokes of the Almighty
I can easily brave.
But
The tiniest drop of ignorance-sea
Can easily destroy
The blue-gold dreams of my heart
And
The green-red realities of my life.

344. A silent voice tells me

A weeping voice tells me
God does not want me.

A murmuring voice tells me
God does not care for me.

A whispering voice tells me
God always needs me.

A silent voice tells me
God proudly and eternally fulfils Himself
Only through me.

345. Yesterday, today, tomorrow

Yesterday
I was a homeless soul.
Today
I have a soulless home.
Tomorrow
I shall reach the goalless shore.

346. The phantom night, the phantom day

When
The phantom night struck me
I lost all my Heavenly spheres
Sooner than at once.

When
I struck the phantom day
I won nothing save and except
An endless frustration-night,
A soulless and goalless fight.

347. The magnet

A rich smile of God
Is the magnet
That draws my heart,
My life, my all
To God’s ever-transcending Heights.

A rich cry of mine
Is the magnet
That draws God’s Heart,
God’s Soul, God’s Goal
To my ever-sinking nadir.

348. Will you barter with me?

O martyr-sun,
Will you barter with me
My martyr-candle?

O martyr-ocean,
Will you barter with me
My martyr-drop?

O Martyr-Immortality,
Will you barter with me
My martyr-death?

349. The touch

In my world
Light is the touch
Of a fulfilling hand,
Delight is the touch
Of a vanishing hand,
Perfection is the touch
Of a vanished hand,
Peace is the touch
Of a broken hand,
Concern is the touch
Of a weak hand,
Compassion is the touch
Of an unusual hand.

350. I saw the burial

I saw the burial of my body.
I laughed and laughed.

I saw the burial of my vital.
I laughed and laughed.

I saw the burial of my mind.
I laughed and laughed.

I saw the burial of my heart.
I cried and cried
Because
What I really had,
What I really claimed
As my own,
Was my sole tiny heart.
