Interviewer: We often have preconceived limits of what our physical and mental capacities are. You know, just looking at the weight that you are going to be lifting makes me exhausted! Do you think that we limit ourselves too much as individuals?

Sri Chinmoy: We always limit ourselves just because we do not feel that there is Somebody deep within us to inspire us, to guide us, to mould us, to shape us and to take us to an ever-transcending Reality. When we think of ourselves, we think of ourselves with very limited capacities. But when our Inner Pilot, our inner Divinity, our God, thinks of us, He thinks of us as another God. We think of ourselves as ignorance incarnate, incapacity incarnate, but God thinks of us as another God — a God who is blossoming, a God who is fulfilling His Cosmic Vision. This is the difference. God thinks of us in a very different way. In His vast, infinite Consciousness, He thinks and He knows that we are also limitless, birthless and deathless. But because of our limited mind, because of our doubting mind, because of our suspicious mind, we have limited ourselves and we always think that we cannot go further, deeper or higher. We are stationed at one place. We feel there is no hope for us to come out of this mental prison. But no, we can come out on the strength of our prayer and meditation and we can fly in the sky of Infinity.
