Prayers from the Jharna-Kala Gallery

On Monday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. the new Jharna-Kala Gallery opened in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. On display in the gallery are approximately 7,000 of Sri Chinmoy’s paintings and drawings. Preparing the gallery for its grand opening was a mammoth job, on which perhaps a hundred disciples worked over a period of about three weeks. One evening shortly before the opening date, while work was still in progress, Sri Chinmoy gathered together all those who were in the gallery for a brief meditation. After the meditation he had the disciples come forward in small groups to offer their short and spontaneous prayers to the Supreme. Following is a selection from the eighty prayers offered.
