Pablo Casals' Birth Centenary
On the 5th of October, 1972, Don Pablo Casals welcomed Sri Chinmoy at the maestro’s home in Puerto Rico for a memorable exchange in philosophy, meditation and music.On the 5th of October, 1976, Sri Chinmoy wrote the following song in honour of Don Pablo’s birth centenary. The song was sung on 11 October 1976 by the United Nations Meditation Group during a program at the United Nations which Sri Chinmoy held in memory of Mr. Casals.
