Professor Carse: That's a difficult task. Do you have disciplines that they are to follow? Are there ways of sitting, certain physical activities or chants that they are instructed in?
Sri Chinmoy: No. I ask them to sit properly and they do not have to adopt any asanas, physical postures, or hatha yoga postures; only they have to sit properly. They can sit on chairs and if they want to sit on the floor, they can. They have to feel comfortable in whatever way they sit. And it is not a life of austerity. Our way is the way of acceptance. We accept life as such and we try to transcend our present capacities. So, through our prayers and meditations, we try to transcend our capacities.
