Minus a Wristwatch

The same day, I had another experience when I was out walking. I had gone to the Grand Central Service Road. Then I walked along the Service Road, behind the school where Suprabha and others run the 3,100-mile race. Then I came back to Parsons Boulevard. When I reached Parsons Boulevard, a very nice-looking black lady asked me, "Do you have the time?"

I smiled at her and said, "No, sorry."

She said to me, "That means you are not a gentleman."

I said, "You are right."

When I walk two or three miles, deliberately I do not take a watch. If I look at the time, I know I will feel miserable, so the best thing is only to complete the distance. I am wise! I cover the distance, but I do not look at the time.
