Professor Carse: You talk about this room being an active room. I think our listeners would be surprised at how active it is for you. Let me ask you a few questions about your painting. I know you do a great deal of painting. What is the process for you, the creative process in painting, and what is its spiritual importance?

Sri Chinmoy: Not only paintings. Whatever I do, I do with a spirit of dedication. And this dedication always follows my aspiration. I pray and meditate. When I aspire, I get something from within and then that very thing I would like to offer to the world at large, to God's creation, with a spirit of dedication. So, when I paint I try to aspire or while I am aspiring I paint and then, when the time comes, my Inner Pilot utilises me to inspire my friends, my dear ones and all the citizens of the world.
