392. When I write letters

When I write letters to God,
I tell Him how happy I am.

When I write letters to man,
I tell him how unhappy I am.

When I write to God,
I tell Him how fresh I am.

When I write to man,
I tell him how tired I am.

God’s replies are as follows:
“Dear son, since you are happy and fresh,
Then work hard and more for Me on earth.”

Man’s replies are as follows:
“Dear friend, since you are unhappy
And tired, we want to fire you.
We are looking for another instrument
    To serve us,
    To please us,
    To fulfil us.”
