Se dukha je nitya kamya chira madhumoy
Jadi sukh nahi dilo tar parichoy
Jene rekho sei sukh shudhu mahabhoy

If suffering can tell me
Who my Beloved is
And where my Beloved is,
Then I shall cheerfully welcome suffering.
If happiness does not tell me
Who my Beloved is
And where my Beloved is,
Rest assured, that happiness
Carries the message of all destruction.
