My Morning Soul-Body Prayers, part 21

Return to the table of contents

1 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

What can I do?
“My child,
Sit down at My Feet
And keep quiet.”

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

2 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Today I am on a new wave
Of determination-promise
To please You
At every moment of my life
In Your own Way.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

3 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Delight is our source.
Delight is our course.
In delight we end our journey.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

5 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

My heart’s first morning smile
Thrills my Lord Beloved Supreme.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

6 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I am a sleepless lover
Of Infinity’s peace-hunger.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

7 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I do not want to live any more
In the expectation-world.
The expectation-world is
Very, very painful.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

8 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I see Your Face
Inside my heart
And not before my eyes.
Why?
“My child,
Heart is the right place.”

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

9 February 2006 (I)

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Individuals may fail,
But not mankind’s promise to God
For the fulfilment of His Will.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

9 February 2006 (II)

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Today I am extremely happy
Because I have pleased my Lord Supreme
In His own Way.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

10 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

My Lord,
How can I please You
All the time?
“My child, easy!
Just think of Me all the time
And do not think of yourself.”

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

12 February 2006 (I)

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

God-realisation, God-revelation
And God-manifestation
Take place only here
In the heart of Mother Earth.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

12 February 2006 (II)

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I love God’s Name
More than I love God.
My heart loves God
More than it loves God’s Name.
What is the difference
Between God’s Name and God?
“Greatness is the Name of God’s Name.
Goodness is the Name of God.
God’s Greatness and God’s Goodness
Can never be separated.
They always live together.”

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

13 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Every day we think of You,
We pray to You, we meditate on You,
We see You, we even talk to You.
But, alas, we just do not recognise You.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

14 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

The desire-life
Is to possess the world.
The aspiration-life
Is to surrender to God’s Will.
The realisation-life
Is to be possessed by God Himself.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

14 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

God tells me
That every morning
If I pray to Him
To give me a pure heart,
A sincere mind
And a simple life,
Then I will be
His most favourite child.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

15 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

At every moment God whispers,
“Your God-obedience
Is indispensable.”

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

16 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

God, my heart loves You only,
My life needs You only.
In my outer life,
I am all for You.
In my inner life,
You are my All.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

17 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I love, adore and treasure
Your unexpected Visits
At my heart-door.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

18 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Singers and musicians
Intensify and multiply
The aspiration-heart-cries
Of Mother Earth,
And they bring down
Heaven’s Beauty, Fragrance and Delight
To share with humanity.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

19 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

My life cries for happiness,
My heart cries for God-oneness,
And I cry for God-manifestation-fulness.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

20 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

A real God-seeker and God-lover
Is at once his heart-beauty
And his soul-fragrance.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

21 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

I wake and rise
In the beauty and fragrance
Of my heart-garden
To build a special temple
Of God-worship.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

22 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

My love of God
Is the sleepless song
Of my heart-tears.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

23 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Heaven’s Eye
And earth’s heart
Constantly communicate.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

24 February 2006

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

The outer journey begins
Full of enthusiasm;
It ends full of peace.
The inner journey begins
Full of soulfulness,
And it never ends.

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

Notes

Editor's preface to the first edition

During Sri Chinmoy’s Christmas/New Year trip to Malaysia from 23 November 2005 to 25 February 2006, he visited six locations. They were Kuala Lumpur, Pangkor Island, Kuantan, Kijal, Penang and Langkawi Island.

As in previous Christmas trips, Sri Chinmoy often practised his heavy weightlifting in his hotel room in the small hours of the morning. In addition to his regular exercises, he concentrated on the seated double-dumbbell lift, using varying weights ranging from 400 pounds to 1,004 pounds.

At these sessions, which were recorded on video, Sri Chinmoy continued his pattern established in previous years, offering an early morning prayer and performing one of his compositions on his blue violin — a segment which he calls “Sri Chinmoy the Eternal Beginner.” He would frequently sing these songs after playing them. Towards the end of the trip, Sri Chinmoy also played songs on the alto flute, viola, horn ocarina and unisphere.

Each day Sri Chinmoy showed the video of his early morning workouts to his students. On 6 December 2005, Sri Chinmoy formed a new group of girls under 25 years of age to recite his early morning prayers.

On 31 January 2006 — the day after lifting 270 pounds in the wrist curl — Sri Chinmoy introduced push-ups into his morning sessions. This was the first time he had done push-ups on a Christmas trip since 7 January 1986 in Kyoto, Japan, where he performed 2,230 push-ups continuously in 59 minutes and 50 seconds.

This year, Sri Chinmoy’s push-ups were mostly done in four sets, beginning with rapid, slight dips and progressing to full, deep dips.
