"Life" with a capital "L"

Over fifteen years ago, a disciple came to our April or August Celebrations. After arriving on the plane, in a matter of an hour or so that disciple came to our function at a school and sang this song. The body did not sing, the mind did not sing, the heart did not sing; only the soul of that particular disciple sang this song, Madhurata jetha nai. I could not believe it. Only the soul was singing the song, using a human voice.

If somebody in our spiritual family has done something extra-extraordinary, I will never forget it. Unfortunately, that disciple left our path. This is called life — Life.

My best mentor always used to say that Life has to be written with a capital “L”. If you write Life with a capital “L”, in that Life only you can forget all your sad experiences. If life is written with a small “l”, it is very difficult for that life to endure heavy, heavy sadness and suffering. But if Life is written with a capital “L”, that Life can devour or swallow everything that is unhappy, undivine, even hostile. It can either devour or swallow all the experiences that we have received from the negative forces.
