Question: When you first had the inspiration or idea of lifting the heaviest weight possible, did you have a clue as to your limits?

Sri Chinmoy: On the one hand, my inner aspiration kept no limits. It all depends on God’s Will. Whatever amount He wants to lift in and through me, I will be more than happy. On the other hand, in the outer life, seven hundred was my goal, because seven is a very special number in my life. But when it is a matter of seeing or realising or bringing down the truth, I have always taken the inner way seriously, the inner approach to my dream-manifesting reality.
