Observing Different Running Styles

Nowadays, I see Nishtha and Pranika running together every day. Shall I comment on how they run? When Pranika runs, her whole body, from the waistline, bends. And when Nishtha runs, her body goes zigzag. I observe them when they are running.

Like that, for everybody's walking or running, I can pass comments. I am in my very good, high consciousness but, when they pass by me, I see them. Each one has his own peculiar style. Ninety per cent, or even more, of my disciples do not have a good style. Only very few girls and some boys have a good style. More boys have good styles than girls, that I must say. I am proud of them, really proud of them, that they are running at all, but when some of the girls run, their styles are so horrible! The upper portion you have to keep a little smart. I do not want you to be too tight, too stiff, but you have to be smart-looking.

Today, while we were walking on one side of the street, about forty or fifty runners were running on the other side. Alo asked me, "Are those our boys?"

I said, "No, I can see from the running styles that it is another running club because forty of our runners will not run that way." They had very good styles.

Again, who cares for style? Speed is the most important thing. For long distance, good style is a great asset, but for short distance, you just kill yourself. But if you have style, it really helps. Sudhahota has such an excellent running style, whereas, quite a few world-class sprinters do not have good styles at all.

Tomorrow, I will go out again for our two-mile race. I am sure my timing will be worse. The pain in my legs has increased enormously.
