Poetic aside1

Nathan Whiting said he has read thousands of poetry books, but he has never read anybody who writes in the English language in such a natural way as I do.

I had told him that I liked his poetry book, so he told me that.

I said, “Nathan!”

He said, “Yes, I mean it!”
