Scene 7

(The King, now a chandala, works in the cremation ground. The heat and smoke have completely changed his face. While tending the burning fire, he suddenly bursts into tears.)

HARISH CHANDRA: Ah, last night I dreamt of my beloved queen and my beloved son. I dreamt of my kingdom regained. O dream, how sweet you are! O reality, how cruel you are!
