Asha tarir pichhe pichhe
Chhuti ami nayan nire
Ei jibane shanti sudha
Pabi ki hai phire

With my tearful eyes,
Speedily I am following
The hope-boat.
Will I ever get back
In this life-time
My long-lost Nectar-Peace?
